Dear en-paz organisation and designers, Before I started to create the logo at first I had to ask myself how the meaning of freedom chainged throughout the last years. Symbols like a peace-sign or the victory sign make me remember the 70ies but do not let me think of the complex problems of freedom today. The butterfly is a white spread and ageless symbol for freedom. it is light, flexible and represents a young community very well. Since freedom got a very comlex issue, the wings of the butterfly stand for the different positions and intentions of nations and groups. the wings on the logo are pictuered in different colors to symbolise that. the overlap of the wings point at common aims of nations and groups. The body of the butterfly represents the organisation en-paz. It stands in the middle of the different positons and tries to find solutions. The aerodynamic lines behind the butterfly demonstrate the dynamics of the organisation. The colors green and blue stand for freedom and appear light and friedly. The used typeface DIN appears authentic and takes over the curves of the logo. Altogether the logo is reduced and compact what makes it easy to remember and also use in a small version (as on websites). The butterfly-figure could also be build out as a testimonial with a friendly face and more gesture.
